In the
summer of 1980 my father, Melvin Daly, at the age of 70, walked
Wainwright's
Coast to Coast route. When he returned he wrote an account of the walk
mainly
for his own benefit. In 1998 I transcribed his account and posted it on
this
site as I thought others might benefit from and enjoy reading about his
experience.
In 2002 my son David then aged 23, inspired by his Grandfather's story
also
undertook the walk and wrote his own account. The trilogy was completed
in
2004 when I walked Coast to Coast and wrote about my own experiences.
