Moving On

I don’t know how much more baggage I can carry
On the train home tonight
It didn’t seem like so much
But sometimes it’s hard to decide what to leave behind

It feels like I’m on the beach
And all my fears and all my memories are washing up
The tide is in and all my emotions are still flowing
I can’t get enough

When it comes to forgetting the past
I just need a little time
To turn the page and move right on

All the books I ever read never had a happy ending
I guess that’s just life
I find myself flicking back trying to figure where it all went wrong
But it’s like searching for shadows in the night

When it comes to forgetting the past
I just have to realise
That the page is gone and I’ve got to move on with life
