With all of these recordings I have tried to keep any production down to a minimum. For these songs, the idea of recording them was simply to have a way of preserving them, nothing more.

Most of them were recorded in about a day and most of the parts were recorded in two or three takes. That’s why they do sound a little rough around the edges sometimes!

Although I didn’t manage to do entirely without electronic instruments all the songs were ‘played’ from start to finish as opposed to being programmed or sequenced. There are many mistakes that I left in; no doubt you will be able to hear them if you listen carefully enough!
